The Applino is designed to match Paulino Pereira’s style of kitesurfing as much as possible. Explosive and powerful, yet stylish and smooth, wether kiting in the waves or performing strapless freestyle tricks in flat water. It’s Paulino’s go-to board in the GKA World-tour contests, a reliable partner in all conditions.
It’s the ultimate advanced allrounder. With the basic shape and rocker taken from our experience in making surfboards, but tweaked for kitesurfing. The rocker is moderate with a recent kick in the last foot of the board to improve responsiveness. With a single concave running into a V in behind the front fins. All there to make the board lose and snappy while maintaining control.
The rails are thin and pinched, this helps with cutting through chops and it helps to retain control at high speeds. Overall the board is thin throughout. But with enough planing area to get up and going with lower wind speeds. The board has a deep grab channel in the deck to aid in strapless freestyle tricks.
If strapless freestyle is your game than go for the full carbon Hex-skin Carbon version, this version stronger, and it gives you more pop off the water, it’s ultra precise for landing the hardest tricks. If you mainly do wave riding than the Hex-skin Glass might be the board for you. It offers a bit more flex which dampens the vibrations and offers a more comfortable ride, but it’s a little less durable.

Zesbladig glas
Our standard hex-skin construction, consists of the 50K foam core, the core is wrapped in a first layer of structural fibreglass, in a 45 degree orientation. This to keep the board as flexible as possible while making a very strong base. The deck is now layered with a honeycomb layer for more impact resistance. The bottom is left without honeycomb, again to maintain maximum flex.
Hex-huid Koolstof
Hex-skin Carbon is similar in composition to the hex-skin Glass boards. But instead of glass we use 100% carbon fibre, there is no glass hidden underneath the top layer of carbon. Using carbon makes the board lighter and it makes it stick to your feet even better. Because the board is so light, it flows over the chops a lot better than you might expect.
To give the carbon boards their unique look the deck is finished with a tinted resin, that can be customised, pick your own color or mix multiple for a truly one of a kind board.
